Elusive Brewing’s retro 8-bit inspired can designs

If you love vintage 8-bit video games and classic West Coast hop flavour, you'll love Elusive Brewing's modern take on old-school nostalgia.

Elusive Brewing creates the artwork in-house using Affinity Designer and a pixel drawing tool. They pay homage to the classic era of 80's gaming, from the legendary Pac-Man to the Nintendo favourites Super Mario Bros. The designs feature bright, colourful tones and pixelated whimsical characters, bringing back memories of a simpler time.

The early craft beer pioneers of the same era inspired the beer itself. In particular, the hop-forward West Coast ales of the time, with their intense aromas and clean bitterness. Elusive’s ever-popular Oregon Trail West Coast IPA is the perfect example of the style – featuring a solid malt profile and the assertive flavours of Simcoe, Chinook and Columbus hops.
